The evolution of Vice City

From 2002 to modern neon

Vice Hub

Vice City was born as an eighties pastiche: saturated colors, an impeccable soundtrack and an affectionate reading of excess. Twenty-odd years later, it returns in a different context.

What official materials show now is a contemporary city, with phones, in-game social feeds and an informal economy visible on the street. The neon remains, but the subject changed.

That shift matters. The Vice City of 2002 was about rising; the new one seems to be about surviving and being watched.
