The recent conversation around GTA VI appears to be moving in two directions. On one side, there are the officially introduced supporting characters, including figures connected to business, music, and robbery. On the other, there is another cycle of leaks, public reactions, and legal measures. For us, the first path offers much more room for an interesting discussion about the game.

A varied supporting cast matters because Grand Theft Auto has never relied exclusively on its protagonists. The people surrounding them help give the world its personality, create conflict, and represent different parts of the society satirized by the series. We do not yet know how important each character will be in GTA VI, but the range of officially introduced profiles already deserves attention.

That does not mean turning every introduction into a definitive theory about the story. The more interesting point is how Rockstar is assembling a group of characters that could support different social settings. Businesspeople, musicians, and robbers may occupy very different spaces in this universe, and sticking to officially released information preserves the surprise without ending the conversation among fans.

The leak cycle has the opposite effect. Stop Killing Games asked the public not to support those responsible for a recent incident, while Rockstar employees reportedly expressed frustration. A former studio director downplayed the impact and compared the situation to the Hot Coffee controversy, showing that not everyone evaluates these cases in the same way. Even so, attention does not necessarily equal useful information about the game.

There is also an important difference between leaks and community creativity. The Pokémon Go-inspired GTA 5 experience covered by PC Gamer and created with a mod shows how fans and creators can experiment with the series without relying on material obtained ahead of time. Projects like this extend the life of an already released game and generate curiosity without intruding on work that is still in development.

Our view is simple: the confirmed supporting cast gives fans a richer starting point than the race for unauthorized files.
