Trailer 2 nearly split the wait for GTA VI in half
Official dates place the video remarkably close to the midpoint between confirmation and release.

Trailer 2 sits in an unexpectedly neat spot on GTA VI's official calendar. It landed almost halfway between Rockstar Games confirming the title and its currently scheduled release. The two sides of that timeline differ by just 17 days.
Rockstar confirmed GTA VI on November 8, 2023. The company now lists November 19, 2026 as the release date. Measured from one official milestone to the other, the full journey covers 1,107 days.
Trailer 1 arrived near the very beginning of that stretch. It premiered on December 4, 2023, only 26 days after the confirmation. That quick first step was followed by a considerably longer silence between major trailers.
The wait from Trailer 1 to Trailer 2 lasted 519 days. Rockstar released the second video on May 6, 2025, according to its official record. It remains the widest gap between the major promotional milestones included in this timeline.
Measured from the original confirmation, Trailer 2 arrived on day 545. Measured forward from that premiere, the November 19, 2026 launch was still 562 days away. That leaves a difference of only 17 days between the two periods.
A 1,107-day timeline has its precise midpoint 553 and a half days after the starting date. Trailer 2 therefore appeared roughly eight and a half days before the mathematical center. It did not split the wait perfectly, but it came remarkably close.
There is an important catch to this calculation. Rockstar had previously targeted a 2025 release window before moving the game to May 2026, while the current November date was established later. Fans watching Trailer 2 on release day could not yet have treated it as the midpoint of the schedule used here.
The pace changed as launch drew closer. Pre-orders opened on June 25, 2026, which was 415 days after Trailer 2. Rockstar then released the Extended Look on August 27, another 63 days into the campaign.
Only 84 days separate that extended presentation from the scheduled launch. Compared with the 519-day gulf between the two trailers, the closing sequence of official beats is tightly grouped. That contrast is our reading at G6 World, while every date in the calculation comes from Rockstar's announcements.
Nothing in the available material suggests Rockstar intentionally chose Trailer 2 as the halfway marker. The placement only becomes visible when the finished timeline is viewed from end to end. Still, for fans tracing the road to GTA VI, the May 2025 trailer now stands almost exactly at the center of the wait.
