GTA 6 Leak Source Says It Will Stop Posting
A message attributed to the source's website says the posts are over “for now” after a $30 million target was missed.

The source behind recent unauthorized GTA 6 posts has indicated that it may stop releasing leaks, according to an Eurogamer report published on October 14. The signal followed the release of another video, whose contents will not be described or reproduced here. The message still leaves open the possibility of another return in the future.
“The leaks stop here. For now,” the source allegedly wrote on the website it had been using, according to Eurogamer. That wording does not present the decision as permanent. Rockstar Games and Take-Two have not announced that the unauthorized posts have ended.
The decision was reportedly connected to the performance of a cryptocurrency promoted alongside the leaks. The source had tied the potential release of a build larger than 200GB to the coin reaching a $30 million market cap. Because that target was not met, a message attributed to the website said the build would not be released.
The stated explanation was that anonymously uploading more than 200GB posed a serious risk and would only be worthwhile if the target funded a secret project. Eurogamer reported that the coin's market cap stood at $1.2 million at the time of publication. It had reached a peak of $7.8 million only three days earlier.
The report also says the initial plan to connect certain posts to the coin's market value appears to have been abandoned. The source had previously disappeared after the first leaks in August but returned during the week before Eurogamer's report. That return reportedly followed a Take-Two investigation and subpoenas issued to Discord and Microsoft.
For players hoping to experience GTA 6 without spoilers, the possible halt reduces the immediate chance of encountering additional unauthorized posts. It does not change the game's release date, platforms, price or access, and no build was distributed as a result of the cited target. Eurogamer advises players who want to enter the game fresh to avoid the latest video.
It remains unclear whether the halt will be permanent or merely another pause. The message attributed to the source specifically says “for now,” and Eurogamer notes that the source previously disappeared before returning. The report therefore does not establish that the leak cycle has definitively ended.
The window for such posts is also narrowing because GTA 6's official launch is set for November 19. Until then, players who want to avoid spoilers should continue to avoid seeking out or sharing unauthorized material. All details about the possible halt, the attributed messages and the cryptocurrency figures were reported by Eurogamer.
