Rockstar rules out Orlando and other Central Florida attractions while promising a full experience of the state.

GTA 6 will not include a satirical version of Walt Disney World on its map. Orlando and its major tourist destinations will not be directly represented either. Jack McPherson provided the answer on Rockstar's behalf to Game Informer, as reported by GameSpot.
Game Informer asked whether Central Florida would appear in the game in some form. The question specifically mentioned Orlando and tourist attractions such as Walt Disney World and Universal Studios. McPherson answered that those locations would not be included.
Their absence does not mean Rockstar has abandoned its goal of representing different sides of Florida through Leonida. McPherson said GTA 6 would deliver the “full Florida experience” in other ways. His answer indicates that the studio is condensing characteristics of the state rather than recreating every famous destination.
McPherson explained that the team must constantly evaluate the diversity of landscapes, towns, structures, and landmarks. That selection also covers vistas, plant species, rock formations, and other environmental elements. Design and narrative then narrow the list to the options that best serve the game's needs.
Other recognizable Central Florida destinations are also outside that selection. GTA 6 will not feature its own SeaWorld or Florida's Space Coast. The latter includes the historic Cape Canaveral launch pad mentioned by GameSpot.
The game is set in Vice City, the series' interpretation of Miami, rather than Orlando. GameSpot notes that the two real cities are separated by roughly a four-hour, 230-mile drive. That distance provides context for the decision not to extend the map to Central Florida's major theme parks.
GameSpot describes GTA 6 as featuring the largest map Rockstar has ever made. Even at that scale, the confirmation shows that Leonida will not be a complete reproduction of Florida. A larger map does not mean every region or famous attraction in the state will receive an explorable counterpart.
The series faced a similar situation with GTA 5. That game took place in a version of the Los Angeles area, home to Disneyland, but did not provide an equivalent theme park that players could visit. GameSpot notes that the in-game film production company Fred's Pictures still served as an apparent Disney reference.
Jay Klaitz, who portrayed Lester in GTA 5, had previously imagined how such a parody might work. In an earlier interview, he suggested that a legally distinct version of Disney World could be called “Psycho Park.” His comment was only an idea from the actor, not evidence of content planned by Rockstar.
For players, the practical result is that there will be no explorable spoof of Disney World, SeaWorld, or Cape Canaveral. The promise of environmental variety remains, but Rockstar will deliver it through other landscapes, towns, and structures selected by the team. The emphasis is therefore on creating a Florida-inspired setting that serves GTA 6's design and narrative, rather than reproducing specific attractions.
It remains unclear which locations or environmental features will take the place of those destinations within Leonida. Rockstar also has not detailed how the promised “full Florida experience” will be distributed across the map. GameSpot raises the possibility of references appearing through radio chatter or dialogue, but Rockstar has not confirmed any such jokes.
The absence of these attractions does not change the release information cited by the source. GTA 6 is scheduled to launch on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. According to GameSpot, Rockstar is leaving Disney World and other Central Florida destinations outside the map while selecting the environments that best serve the game.
