Memecoin Tied to GTA 6 Leaks Crashes
Cyberleek fell from $7.8 million to $1.7 million

The Cyberleek memecoin, associated with a campaign that tied financial targets to the release of unauthorized GTA 6 material, has crashed after reaching a peak on October 11. According to IGN, its market capitalization fell from $7.8 million to approximately $1.7 million. The decline was celebrated by fans who had been urging the community not to put money into the project.
What happened
The project had established several market-cap targets, ranging from $5 million to $25 million, for releasing additional unauthorized videos. A further $30 million target was connected to a threat to distribute an alleged full build of the game. With the asset now far below its peak, IGN considers it highly unlikely to reach that milestone under current conditions.
The crash represents a loss of roughly $6.1 million in market capitalization since the October 11 high. Its current value also leaves the coin below several of the targets announced for further releases. That weakens, at least for now, the financial mechanism used to encourage purchases by promising additional leaks.
The campaign had also promised a new unauthorized video every day if its targets were met. It launched another poll intended to encourage spending on the memecoin as well. The decline interrupts that escalation, although it cannot prevent the account associated with the project from ignoring its own conditions and publishing material without reaching the targets.
The $30 million goal was accompanied by demands directed at Take-Two. The project called for GTA 6 to receive an on-disc release and for the company to issue a public apology, presenting those actions as an alternative to distributing the alleged build. IGN notes, however, that fans remain deeply skeptical both of the physical-media justification and of the claim that such a build exists.
The community’s reaction was blunt. One fan said anyone putting money into the asset was “begging to get scammed,” while another summarized the crash by saying, “There is a god.” A third comment quoted by IGN questioned what buyers expected when they chose to finance the project.
Warnings from fans began before the crash. Over the previous week, members of the community had urged others not to buy the memecoin and pointed to financial activity from August. Transaction analysis cited by IGN indicated that approximately $270,000 may have been withdrawn at the time, adding to concerns that another exit could occur before GTA 6 launches.
The latest episode also follows a series of unauthorized releases associated with the same name. The project had gone quiet after high-profile incidents in August but reappeared last week. Its return was accompanied by the circulation of an unauthorized 24-minute video and the announcement of more targets linked to the memecoin.
Take-Two opened an investigation following the events in August. According to IGN, the company issued subpoenas to platforms including Discord in an attempt to obtain information that could help identify those responsible. It remains unclear whether those measures have produced enough information to lead investigators to a person or group.
Rockstar also addressed the situation in August, calling it “heartbreaking” for the development team and “unfortunate” for fans. The company acknowledged that its intended experience could be affected by spoilers. At the same time, it reiterated GTA 6’s November 19 release date.
What changes for players
The memecoin’s decline reduces the immediate financial incentive created by the targets, but it does not change any official GTA 6 details. The game remains scheduled for November 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S, based on the date reiterated by Rockstar. The report provides no indication of changes to pricing, access, platforms, or physical availability.
For fans, the most direct effect is a lower probability that the announced targets will be reached through further purchases. That could reduce the financial pressure being used to turn anticipation for the game into demand for the asset. The crash does not guarantee an end to unauthorized releases, however, because the project established those conditions itself and could simply abandon them.
What remains unknown
There is still no answer to whether the project actually possesses a working GTA 6 build or would follow through on its threat to distribute it. It is also unknown whether more releases will occur without the targets being met or whether Take-Two’s legal action will identify those responsible. The existence, condition, and size of any alleged file remain claims rather than confirmed information about the game.
The community therefore has an immediate reason to celebrate, but the case has not reached a definitive conclusion. The fall to $1.7 million has pushed the $30 million target much further away without eliminating the possibility of actions unrelated to the coin’s value. The figures, fan reactions, and investigation history were reported by IGN.
