GTA 5 Mod Teleports Players Every 50 Seconds

Random Teleport Challenge cycles through 28 map locations

A GTA 5 mod turns space itself into an obstacle by teleporting the player every 50 seconds. Called Random Teleport Challenge, it can send a playthrough to one of 28 locations scattered across the map. PC Gamer tested the modification as part of its daily series devoted to changing the game.

The destinations do not follow a sequence known to the player during the challenge. With no list of the 28 possible spots, each jump happens without warning about where the player will arrive. According to the account, this makes the experience confusing and almost impossible to plan around.

The test is part of a series in which PC Gamer installs GTA 5 mods every day. Its stated goal is to either turn the game into a kind of PC version of GTA 6 or simply push it until it breaks. Earlier experiments mentioned by the outlet involved hit squads, a privacy-invading company, bad credit, and the absence of gravity.

For players, the main change is straightforward: no activity can rely on more than 50 seconds of spatial stability. The next teleport can interrupt whatever is happening and move the player to another part of the map. Even testing other modifications may become harder while Random Teleport Challenge remains active.

It is still unclear which 28 destinations are included in the mod. The account also does not establish whether editing an .ini file will actually be necessary to stop the teleports from disrupting future tests. Without those answers, the only certainty within the challenge is that another jump will happen after the set interval.

It is a simple idea with the potential to completely dismantle any plan in Los Santos. Instead of adding a mission or another complex system, the mod constantly changes where the action takes place. PC Gamer reported on the experiment on September 24, 2026.
