GTA 5 mod turns airports into passenger terminals
Flights V lets players collect a ticket and cross the map as an airline passenger.

A mod has turned GTA 5’s airports into boarding points for trips across the map. Called Flights V, it lets players approach a terminal desk, collect a ticket, and fly as a passenger. PC Gamer tested and reported on how the mod works.
The journey begins at a desk inside the terminal, where the player chooses a flight. The mod also allows players to select the type of plane used for the trip. The character then boards as a passenger rather than taking control of the aircraft.
Flights V connects four locations: LSIA, Sandy Shore Airfield, McKenzie Airfield, and Paleto Bay International Airport. The list combines Los Santos’ major airport with airfields elsewhere on the map. The available selection is limited to the locations identified by the source.
The mod also attempts to reproduce parts of the airport experience. Its departure area includes passengers waiting for flights, while a large door separates the jet bridge from the plane. These details accompany the ticket and aircraft selection process.
The feature is part of a PC Gamer series built around installing a different GTA 5 mod every day. The stated goal is either to push the game toward a PC version of GTA 6 or to break GTA 5 with extensive modifications. Flights V joins that experiment as a change focused on traveling around Los Santos and its surrounding areas.
For players, the main change is an alternative to cars, motorcycles, and walking during long journeys. The flights connect distant areas without requiring the entire route to be covered by road. However, the mod does not put the player in the pilot’s seat during these trips.
The experience still has a significant problem: attempting to board can result in an infinite loading screen. The test took place in an installation already affected by other mods, including one that had removed a large section of the exterior map. The report therefore does not establish whether Flights V itself or an interaction with earlier modifications caused the issue.
The published material does not provide installation requirements, compatibility details, or plans to fix the infinite loading screen. It also does not say whether more destinations could be added later. According to PC Gamer, the working feature currently allows players to collect a ticket and travel as a passenger between four locations on GTA 5’s map.
