PlayStation Store Lists Sex Scenes for GTA 6

The description appears on the Australian and New Zealand stores, but questions remain about the content.

GTA 6 pages on the New Zealand and Australian PlayStation Stores mention “sex scenes” as part of the game’s content. The description raises the possibility that the new Grand Theft Auto will depict sexual intercourse more directly than previous entries. For now, however, the store wording does not establish how those scenes would be presented.

The information was initially spotted by IGN and reported by Eurogamer. According to the outlet, the phrase appears when viewing the New Zealand and Australian versions of the PlayStation Store. The page does not state how many scenes there may be, which characters would be involved, or how explicit they could become.

The UK store uses slightly different wording. It mentions “sexual content” and displays a symbol associated with sex. That indicator supports the presence of the subject in the game’s content warnings, but it does not determine whether GTA 6 will include explicit sequences or only brief moments.

There is an important caveat surrounding these descriptions. Eurogamer says they are not separately searchable on the relevant rating-board websites, even though the PlayStation Store displays logos for the ESRB, PEGI, and Australian Ratings Board. The outlet suggests that fuller listings could contain embargoed information, but it does not present that possibility as confirmed.

Even if the wording is accurate, “sex scenes” can cover several different levels of content. It does not establish that GTA 6 will feature graphic or interactive sex, or connect it to any gameplay system. The available description functions as a broad content notice rather than an explanation of how such sequences would fit into the story.

Eurogamer compares the PEGI sex symbol with the one attached to Baldur’s Gate 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, both of which contain relatively graphic intimate scenes. The same symbol is not attached to The Blood of Dawnwalker, which the outlet cites as a game featuring partial nudity and sexual content. That comparison points toward potentially stronger material, but it does not prove GTA 6 will match the other games’ level of detail.

If GTA 6 intentionally depicts sexual intercourse on screen, it could mark a change for the series. GTA: San Andreas became associated with the infamous Hot Coffee controversy, involving a sex minigame that Rockstar had removed before release. A mod restored that material, creating major problems for the company.

Later GTA games continued to include sexually suggestive situations, including encounters with sex workers and some degree of nudity. According to the history outlined by Eurogamer, most actual intercourse still occurred off camera. The series has therefore returned to the subject repeatedly without usually turning sex itself into a complete, direct scene.

GTA 4 expansion The Ballad of Gay Tony briefly showed two characters having sex, although they remained mostly clothed. Other entries have included references to or depictions of oral sex, generally obscured from view. The potential GTA 6 distinction would be less about the presence of sexual material and more about how directly it is shown.

Jason and Lucia’s relationship provides context for the new wording. Eurogamer notes that GTA 6 follows a couple and that their romantic connection is central to the story. An official trailer also shows, at around one minute and 12 seconds, what the outlet interprets as the beginning of an intimate scene.

For players, the report does not immediately change the release schedule or access to the game. The source continues to list November 19 as the release date for Grand Theft Auto 6, while the description primarily helps set expectations for the story’s adult tone. It does not reveal whether any intimate scenes will be mandatory, optional, interactive, or entirely cinematic.

It remains unclear which board supplied each description, whether the wording will remain on the final store pages, and what the phrase means inside the game. A complete rating entry or an explanation from Rockstar could clarify the intensity and context of the material. Until then, Eurogamer presents the PlayStation Store pages as a notable clue rather than confirmation of graphic sex scenes.
