From her time in Leonida’s prison system to her connection with Jason, here are the official facts.
Redação G6 World
Lucia Caminos stands at the heart of GTA VI as one of its two playable protagonists. Together with Jason Duval, she leads the game’s single-player story across the fictional state of Leonida, where Vice City serves as the central location.
Her introduction came in Trailer 1, released in December 2023. Lucia was shown leaving the Leonida Penitentiary, immediately establishing incarceration as an important part of her background.
Official character information says Lucia ended up in prison after fighting for her family. She later got out through sheer luck, but the exact circumstances surrounding her sentence and release have not been detailed.
Jason is the other confirmed playable lead and Lucia’s central partner. Both characters appear across the official trailers, although Rockstar has not fully explained how their partnership begins or how it develops throughout the campaign.
Lucia is also identified as the first playable woman in the main Grand Theft Auto series. Her protagonist status, prison background, connection to Jason and place in Leonida are all based on information published by Rockstar Games.
