GTA 5 Mod Gives Its Protagonists Superman Powers
PC Gamer tested Superman V in Los Santos, adding flight, super speed, heat vision and other powers.

A mod has given GTA 5’s three protagonists a collection of powers associated with Superman. PC Gamer installed Superman V and tested its features across Los Santos. The result includes flight, super speed and several forms of enhanced vision.
Superman V adds laser eyes, cryo eyes, pulse eyes and an ability called solar flare. The package also includes freeze breath, X-ray vision and the power to fly. Franklin, Michael and Trevor can use these abilities instead of relying on conventional gun combat.
During the test, heat vision was able to ignite passing cars. Freeze breath could also stop police officers where they stood. The powers were additionally used against hostile groups roaming Los Santos.
Flight works, but it is not stable on every attempt. At times, the selected protagonist rises through the city’s skies as intended. In other cases, Franklin, Michael or Trevor tumbles uncontrollably through the air.
X-ray vision also has a less clearly defined presentation. According to PC Gamer, it appears to produce an intermittent heat-haze effect. The report does not indicate that the ability reveals hidden structures or objects.
With so many powers available, the writer stopped using guns during the experiment. Igniting vehicles by looking at them and freezing enemies took the place of traditional shootouts. It temporarily turns GTA 5 into a superhero experience within the Los Santos map.
The test is part of a series in which PC Gamer installs GTA 5 mods every day. Its humorous goal is to bring the game closer to an imagined PC version of GTA 6 or break GTA 5 in the process. Superman V is another step in that ongoing experiment.
The reference to GTA 6 is part of the series’ joke rather than information about the upcoming game. The writer humorously compares the anticipation surrounding GTA 6 with The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. The mod being tested remains a PC modification for GTA 5.
Superman V also has to share the keyboard with several previously installed mods. The function keys activate menus such as Enhanced Native Trainer and Menyoo. Other commands are connected to mods for giving people piggyback rides and summoning dogs.
That growing collection has created a practical problem: the keyboard is running out of available keys. Pressing a function key can summon several different mod menus at once. For the writer, control of the game may break before GTA 5 itself does.
For players, the experiment demonstrates a different way to revisit Los Santos on PC. The powers change movement, combat and interactions with vehicles and police, although some abilities remain unstable. It does not change anything about GTA 6 because the entire test is conducted through GTA 5 mods.
The report does not provide details about requirements, compatibility with other configurations or future Superman V updates. It also does not specify pricing, access or a method for resolving conflicts between commands. The described features and problems were directly observed by PC Gamer while testing the mod.
