Server economy: how roleplay money works

Wages, taxes, rent and inflation in digital cities

Redação G6

A roleplay city is, at heart, an economic experiment. Each server decides how much money enters the system and how much leaves — and the balance between the two defines the experience.

Inflows and outflows

  • Inflows: legal job wages, sales of produced goods, contract rewards.
  • Outflows: taxes, rent, vehicle upkeep, ammunition, fines, seizures.

When more comes in than goes out, inflation arrives: the car that cost a month's wage now costs a week, and progression loses its point.

Factions and the illegal market

The illegal side works as a risk valve: it pays more but exposes the character to police and asset loss. Well-calibrated servers make crime worth it only when properly roleplayed.

Signs of a healthy economy

  • Property prices stay stable through the season.
  • Legal work still makes sense for a beginner.
  • Something remains expensive enough to be a long-term goal.
