Police, courts and jail: the axis that holds any RP city together
Without consequence there is no roleplay
Redação G6
Every roleplay city that lasts shares one axis: consequence. If robbery brings no jail and murder brings no trial, the narrative collapses within a week.
How it works
- Police: go through an internal academy, learning radio codes, approach procedure and proportional use of force.
- Courts: hearings happen in game, with defence, prosecution and sentencing.
- Prison: serving time is real playtime, with routine, work and the chance of a roleplayed escape.
What goes wrong
The most common failure is excess: officers who behave like hunters and criminals who ignore their own fear. Both break believability. Good servers fix it with internal affairs and recording reviews.
Why it matters for GTA VI
If roleplay migrates to the next game, this is the system that has to be rebuilt first. A city without law becomes deathmatch.
