The subscription combines monthly GTA Online benefits with temporary access to a library of Rockstar games. Its perks include GTA$ deposits, purchase bonuses, discounts, vehicles, and extra garage space. The package’s value depends on how frequently a subscriber plays GTA Online and uses the games available through the catalog.
How GTA+ works
Rockstar launched GTA+ in March 2022 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The service arrived on PC in March 2025 alongside the release of GTA 5 Enhanced. Players need a copy of GTA 5 or GTA Online to subscribe, according to GameSpot’s breakdown.
Every subscriber automatically receives GTA$500,000 in their in-game account each month. The deposit follows the individual membership billing date rather than one date shared by every subscriber. That currency can be used within GTA Online while the account remains connected to the service.
Members also receive a 15% GTA$ bonus when buying Shark Cards. Selected GTA Online missions and modes provide GTA$ multipliers for subscribers, while certain in-game items are discounted. The activities, products, and discounts included in the package can change from month to month.
GTA+ provides access to The Vinewood Car Club, where members can claim free vehicles. Another perk is a 100-car garage spread across five floors. These benefits are aimed directly at players who maintain vehicle collections and regularly return to GTA Online.
The monthly rewards continue to rotate with the service’s calendar. For November 2026, Rockstar is giving subscribers the Grotti Itali RSX sports car, new Chameleon Paints, and additional mansion items. Those rewards belong to that month’s package rather than a permanent benefits list.
The included games
The subscription also offers the GTA+ Games Library, a rotating catalog of Rockstar titles. Access remains available while the membership is active and while each game remains part of the catalog. Canceling the subscription ends that access model, even if a player previously installed one of the offered titles.
As of November 2026, the library includes GTA 5, GTA Online, GTA: Vice City – The Definitive Edition, and GTA III – The Definitive Edition. GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, GTA: Liberty City Stories, and GTA: Chinatown Wars are also listed. Red Dead Redemption, Bully, and LA Noire complete the selection available across PC, consoles, and mobile devices.
GTA+ originally launched at $6 per month in 2022 before rising to $8 per month in 2024. Membership can be canceled at any time, but there is no multi-month or annual subscription option. Monthly billing is the only payment model described by GameSpot.
On PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, players can subscribe through each platform’s store or from within GTA Online. PC users can join through their preferred storefront or inside the game. The requirement to own GTA 5 or GTA Online applies across those signup routes.
What changes for GTA 6 buyers
The free month puts the subscription in front of everyone who preorders GTA 6, even when their main interest is the new game. Because the membership automatically renews, the practical choice is whether to keep the benefits for $8 per month or cancel before the next charge. The current service focuses its perks on GTA Online and Rockstar’s rotating game library.
Rockstar has yet to say whether GTA+ will receive direct support within GTA 6. There is also no confirmation of subscription-exclusive items, features, or benefits for a future online mode in the new game. GameSpot expects GTA 6 to have a significant online component, but the form it could take remains unknown.
GTA Online could continue operating after GTA 6 launches, which may keep GTA+ relevant to the existing game. That possibility does not confirm any integration between the membership and the new title. Until Rockstar makes an announcement, the only confirmed connection is the free month included with every preorder.
Take-Two said in 2022 that it was “thrilled” with GTA+’s early reception and conversion rate. CEO Strauss Zelnick made the comments around the subscription’s original rollout. According to GameSpot, the company has said relatively little about GTA+ in the years since, despite the recurring revenue produced by subscriptions.
For anyone considering a preorder, the key practical step is monitoring the renewal date attached to their account.
